Forty members of Mellieha Group went on an outing to visit Progress Present who print The Times of Malta and the Sunday Times of Malta. They were met and welcomed by Noel Galea, Chief Operations Manager of Progress Press.
Two separate parties were taken on a tour and shown the various stages of production – much the same as when the newspaper began but using the most up-to-date technology, which cuts down the time.
The Editorial Department sends information for publication to Progress Press by midnight and the printed editions are ready to go onto the vans for distribution some 2 hours later!
