I hope no one is moaning “it’s too hot” yet as summer has just begun.
The trip to the AQUARIUM was very good there were about 30 of us. Some went by car and some by coach. The lobsters and the crabs looked good enough to eat. It was very interesting and the young girl that looked after us was very knowledgeable on all the fish, well able to answer every question that was asked about them. After the tour we had a light lunch in the dining area, but when we all sat down for it I realized two people were missing “Oh my! Do you think the sharks have got them?” Fortunately after a quick search they were found just enjoying themselves still looking at the fish.
The next outing is Tuesday September 29th to the MALTA TIMES NEWS PAPER, and the bus will leave Billy’s at 10:15 am to be there by 11 am. I think it will be very interesting as it is something we have not done before. I will put a reminder in the September news letter (If you have a memory like mine you will have forgotten) so write it down on your calendar. After the visit we will go somewhere very nice for lunch, where you can choose whatever you like. It will be somewhere around the….. sorry I am not telling you it will be a nice surprise.
As some of you will no doubt have heard I have not been in very good health. I am therefore asking for someone to volunteer to help me with the social side of things. I would be very grateful and you would be co-opted on to the committee. MALE or FEMALE, I am sure John will not mind what sex you are. We have the summer break now but by September it would be nice to know I have HELP.
