On 1st October 2019 Joseph Schiro, Malta Map Society came to talk to Sliema/St Julian’s Group about Cartography.
This was a fascinating talk about the maps of Malta through history. Explaining the details that maps show much more than geographical details. They are a record of history giving information on climates, crops, trade, religion, military information, notations as well as images of dwellings, people, animals and all sorts of curiosities.
Joseph also shared a video on how the map of Malta has changed over the years, click here to see that video.
